About 30 percent of the devices ordered are faulty after just one month of use or have failed. The group, which now has over 160 members, contains several similar complaints.Samson Mow, the chief strategist of the blockchain infrastructure company Blockstream, has already expressed such concerns. Mow tweeted last month that Bitmain customers with Antminer S17 / T17 devices had a 20-30 percent failure rate.

Additional Antminer devices to be delivered soon

Halving the Bitcoin block reward is still less than a week away. Bitmain recently sold the first batch of the Antminer S19. However, the devices will be delivered on May 11 at the earliest. The new product was developed to achieve better mining performance in the conditions after halving.
