Blockstream CEO Adam Back thinks Bitcoin is better without a founder

There is no person, no company, and no government behind Bitcoin. It is the first decentralized network to transfer values directly to peer-2-peer. Nevertheless, there is a pseudonym that hides behind the revolutionary invention – Satoshi Nakamoto. But nobody knows exactly who is behind the pseudonym. This leaves enough room for various speculations as to who Satoshi Nakatomo might be. Among other things, names like Nick Szabo, Hal Finney, Adam Back and even Craig Wright keep falling, who of course is clearly not Satoshi Nakamoto. Now Adam Back, the CEO of Blockstream, has taken part in a discussion about the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto and has denied that he is Satoshi Nakamoto. He also explained why it is so important for Bitcoin that nobody knows the true identity behind the creator.

There are many theories about the inventor of Bitcoin

Adam Back describes himself as a cypherpunk and cryptographer. He is also the hashcash inventor, on the basis of which Bitcoin mining works. Due to his expertise and experience with cryptography, he belongs to a small group of candidates who know Satoshi or could even be Satoshi himself. An extract from a 40-minute YouTube documentary about the possible identity of the mysterious figure inspired Twitter user @ggmesh to claim that Adam Back was the inventor of Bitcoin.
